Autonomy Group Customers

Autonomy for Financial Services

Leading financial services provider such as Zurich and Danske Bank use Autonomy’s IDOL solutions to deliver a superior online user experience for their customers and employees. From insurance and asset management to brokerage services, Autonomy’s IDOL solutions provide greater access to the most up-to-date, relevant information via a secure, scalable platform.

Solutions

Automatic Categorization
Autonomy derives precise categories through concepts found within any piece of information - without manual effort. IDOL classifies this data in the correct context and accurately from a variety of resources such as stock prices, interest rate changes, etc. Accurate classification enables fund managers to intuitively navigate through relevant financial data such as financial research and the latest stock prices.
Automatic Hyperlinking
With Autonomy, companies can link related pieces of information regardless of their format, be it documents, email, video or external websites. Hyperlinks are generated in real-time, ensuring users have immediate access to critical content, as well as reducing duplication of effort. For example, a fund manager working on a report in the U.S. on index funds will be easily able to locate a similar report on the intranet developed by a colleague in the UK thus saving valuable time and preventing duplicated effort.
Personalized Agents
IDOL allows users to set up agents to monitor information on specific topics and from a range of data sources. In addition, they can be trained and refined with natural language or Boolean description, as well as by example. A financial advisor, for example, can set up a "Dow Jones" agent and automatically receive information about his specific interests in real-time.
Repository/Format Support
Autonomy ensures a global organization’s information, is available across the entire enterprise. Autonomy supports about 1,000 file formats, be it text, video or audio, and virtually every content repository including the document management systems most commonly used in the financial services industry. As more financial institutions face M&A issues, IDOL enables newly joined companies to merge their disparate internal technology systems as well as external sites such as EDGAR online.
Conceptual Retrieval
Autonomy enables financial services employees to locate information in any language and format, regardless of location. IDOL understands the conceptual meanings of words rather than just matching keywords.
