A secure, enterprise version of desktop search, IDOL Enterprise Desktop Search integrates with all other Autonomy modules making content from secure corporate networks, intranets, local data sources, the Web as well as information on the desktop, such as email, office documents readily and easily accessible.

Implicit Query

IDOL Enterprise Desktop Search uses implicit Query (IQ) to form an understanding of the information on a user's screen, and proactively link users to related information on their secured corporate network, on the web or their local machine, entirely automatically.

Active Folders

Active Folders manage and organize content proactively without the need for any manual intervention. Using contextual matching, Active Folders understand the themes within any set of data and then automatically populate the folder with related information, regardless of its storage location, as soon as it becomes available.

• SSL encryption protects the security and confidentiality of all corporate assets, including internal and external communications
• Automatic verification against user, group and role level entitlement
• Advanced user authentication including the facility for an administrator to disable a remote Active Folder if authentication is not received, for example, in the case of a stolen or lost laptop
