BRASSRING EXTENDS OEM AGREEMENT WITH AUTONOMY FOR ENTERPRISE TALENT MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

OFCCP rulings drive demand for Autonomy's advanced search functionality in solutions for managing Internet employment applications

Cambridge, UK/San Francisco, Calif., - October 16, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that longtime Autonomy OEM, BrassRing has extended its OEM agreement for use of Autonomy's enterprise infrastructure software in its web-based talent management solution, Enterprise. A leading provider of talent management solutions, BrassRing regards Autonomy as a key component of its offerings that help ensure compliance with new rulings from the Office for Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP).

One criteria of the OFCCP ruling on Internet employment applicants requires that searches by job seekers be saved and tracked. "BrassRing has a comprehensive OFFCCP compliance optimization offering that goes well beyond just technology," said Steve Turner, BrassRing EVP Technology. "However, a key factor in our ability to mitigate non-compliance risk for our customers, is the Autonomy software embedded in Enterprise."

Open positions in Enterprise often attract hundreds of applicants. Recruiters using the solution are working to fill many employment requisitions. Finding the right candidates quickly and easily is imperative. Keyword search is limited in its ability to match the best possible candidates available for a particular job description. Autonomy's infrastructure software, however, overcomes these limitations by forming a conceptual and contextual understanding of the candidate's entire resume, as well as the overall requirements of the job. This allows for much more relevant matching of candidates with available jobs.

"Over the past seven years Autonomy has scaled with BrassRing's tremendous growth," said Stouffer Egan, CEO Autonomy, Inc. "We are proud to support BrassRing's award winning worldwide talent management solution that now handles over 65 million documents in multiple languages with users in more than 79 countries."
